What do Catholics Believe?
This is an easy question
to ask, but it has many answers.
The basis of our belief is
Jesus Christ and His teachings to love God and to love our neighbors.
Talk with a Priest
If you have specific questions,
and would like to speak with a priest, please phone the rectory at 978-369-3940.
We are located on the eastern coast of the US, so the best time to phone
is in the middle of our day.
Take a Course at a local
Parish
If you are interested in
taking a course on Catholic Beliefs, the Archdiocese of Boston sponsors
courses in local parish churches. The current
schedule and list of courses is usually published on the Archdiocese
website.
Review the Catholic Catechism
The United States Conference
of Catholic Bishops has an on-line version of the Catholic
Catechism - a document listing Catholic beliefs.
Read the Bible
The United States Conference
of Catholic Bishops has an on-line version of the New
American Bible. The web site lists recommended readings for a particular
day, and has the text for the Bible with an index and cross-references.
National Tragedy
A summary of links to Vatican
and US sites containing information about Catholic
beliefs in response to the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Send us e-mail
You may also send
us e-mail, and we will repond to your questions. Since e-mail is
checked only periodically during the week, this method of asking a question
is slower than a phone call.
Read a book
There are also several good
books about the Catholic faith. Send
us e-mail about the aspect of our faith that interests you most,
and we will try to recommend a good source.
