Many parish members desire to offer some of their time to serve Our Lord by volunteering their time to the parish.  St. Irene Parish has established a simple organized system so that members can volunteer time to the parish by choosing an area of work that meets each member's lifestyle and interests.

For more information, please contact the Parish secretary

Altar Servers

This ministry is for girls and boys in the fourth grade or older who have received First Communion.

Altar servers normally serve at Mass about twice each month and are scheduled accordingly to family convenience. There are also opportunities to serve at weddings and other sacramental ceremonies.

Anyone interested in serving should phone the Rectory.

Eucharistic Ministers

Eucharistic Ministers assist in the distribution of the Eucharist under both species at Sunday Masses and special liturgies.  Any Catholic, who has received First Holy Communion and Confirmation, is eligible after a training session with Deacon Dean Bulpett.

For more information or to volunteer, please phone the Rectory.

Hospitality Committee

The Hospitality Committee serves refreshments approximately once a month after the Sunday morning masses. They also offer refreshments in connection with special occasions such as First Communion and Confirmation.

If you would like to help with this community-building activity, pleasephone the Rectory.

Lectors

Spread the word and become a lector!

You are invited to become a lector and read each month, at the Mass of your choice, after attending a brief information session.

Being a lector is a wonderful opportunity to participate in the celebration of the mass in a very personal way.

If you are interested, please phone the Rectory.

Liturgical Environment (Altar Society)

The ministry of liturgical environment includes the total environment—floral arrangements are only one part of it. We welcome volunteers with good ideas and willing hands. Your help is needed on a continuing basis or on call for special occasions.

For more information, please phone the Rectory.

Mens Club - Knights of Columbus

St. Irene's Council of the Knights of Columbus serves as a men's club for the parish. Information about St Irene's Knights is available at this website.

Music Ministry

The role of the Music Ministry is to encourage and accompany the Parish Community in praise and worship.

We try to provide a variety of music styles and encourage participation by all ages.

If you are interested in the Music Ministry -- by singing, playing an instrument or even suggesting new ideas (either alone or with a friend),
please phone the Rectory for more information.

Religious Education

You are invited and encouraged to grow in your faith while volunteering as a catechist/teacher in St. Irene's religious education program.

Classes for Grades K-8 meet Sunday mornings for approximately 50 minutes. Confirmation classes meet Sunday evenings. In most cases, you will team teach with a seasoned catechist and you will be given the necessary training and support.

Please consider this most rewarding experience!

Please phone the Rectory for more information.

Women's Club

The purpose of the St. Irene Parish Women's Club is to promote spiritual growth through involvement in parish activities and needs, while encouraging friendship and caring among the women of the parish.

Please phone the Rectory for more information.
