HomeQuestions about the Catholic Faith |
Dear Families, Thank you for another great year at St. Irene's. We appreciate all of those parents who gave of their time, talent, and love to form our children in the teachings, traditions, and practices of our Catholic Faith. We appreciate all those parents who were so faithful in bringing their children to Mass and to class. It is a lovely and important way to spend your Sunday morning. Some highlights for 2004-2005 were our annual Pancake Breakfast (grade 8), a Fundraiser to buy special wheelchairs for poor/underdeveloped countries (grade 7), Living Stations of the Cross for Lent (grade 6), our annual Christmas Pageant (grade 5), and a beautifully hosted Mass complete with banner and programs (grade 4). It is now time to register for next year. We will be making a few changes because our program is growing and we need more space. Grade 6 will be moving to Monday evenings. Classes will be from 6 pm - 7 pm. Grades 7 and 8 will meet every other Monday evening, except holidays, from 7 pm - 8 pm. We plan to continue Youth Ministry type activities for all Middle School students. Grade 9 and 10 Confirmation Candidates will meet Sunday evenings. Information and registration will be sent separately. We will be creating four classes per grade, which means we will need twelve new catechists. We will continue to team teach and the average class size will be a more manageable 10 students. Please come teach or assist! We need you! We will train and support you! Yours in Christ, Georgia Winfrey 978-263-8077 |
